ChangeToAutopalHeadlight Changing To Autopal Headlights The Pulsar Classic's headlight rim is exactly the same size as that of a Hindustan Ambassador's. That car has bright headlights and the results of this kind of transplant have been good.
You need to buy the following parts:
| 1. | SS A reflector & glass set - Autopal H4 - Rs. 110 |
| 2. | SS Bulb holder with wire (for a p45 bulb with 3 legs) - Rs. 15 |
| | The bulb should be 35+35W, but wattages as high as 65W have been tried on the Pulsar with no adverse results.
The total cost should be in the region of Rs. 200.
The steps for assembly are:
| 1. | SS You need a connector for connecting the bulb holder wires to the Pulsar. Either buy a connector, or buy a Pulsar's bulb holder and cut the connectors off, or use your just-removed Pulsar headlight holder's connectors. |
| 2. | SS Join the wires from the headlight holder into the headlight connector socket. |
| 3. | SS Fit the new holder with the connectors into the reflector. |
| 4. | SS The parking light can be re-used. Take out the rubber bush of the Ambassador's parking light, push your old parking light into it and gently push it to the hole. |
| 5. | SS Start your Pulsar and turn on the lights to make sure they all work. |
| 6. | SS Fit the reflector and lens back onto the Pulsar's headlight dome. |
